Polyimide film (Kapton)

Polyimide Film – Alternative to Kapton®

Polyimide film, also known as Kapton tape, is a special adhesive film distinguished by its resistance to high temperatures, excellent mechanical strength, and outstanding electrical insulation properties. It is widely used in industries such as electronics, aerospace, automotive, and cable insulation.

Typical applications include masking during soldering of printed circuit boards (PCBs), insulation of electronic and mechanical components, and pipe insulation.

Key Properties:

Polyimide film retains its physical, electrical, and mechanical properties across a wide range of temperatures, including extremely high levels.
– Continuous use: –269 °C to +240 °C
– Short-term use: up to +400 °C

The film is highly resistant to tension and tearing, making it ideal for high-stress applications.

Thanks to its excellent insulating properties, it is widely used for the insulation of cables, components, and optical fibers.

The film also withstands chemicals and solvents.

Common Applications:

Polyimide films are available with or without adhesive.

Available thicknesses (without adhesive): 0.05 mm, 0.075 mm, 0.125 mm, 0.175 mm

We provide custom cutting according to drawings or dimensions based on customer requirements.
